Job Title: Senior Specialist Electrical Engineer - Power LeadJob Req: 31786Job Location: Greenville TXJob Schedule: 9/80 Work Schedule (Every other Friday is a non-workday.)Job Description: L3Harris is seeking qualified individuals to join our Aeronautical Systems Engineering team as an Electrical Design Engineer for ISR & Special Mission this role you will lead and develop electrical power systems for the integration of electrical/electronic equipment on the aircraft addition program tasking can include development of electrical load analysis facilities documents vendor coordination and supporting testing/integration of this system. Engineer will be responsible for research systems integration preparation of engineering drawings and coordination of design activities with Systems Engineering Manufacturing and Production to ensure that designs meet requirements at minimum cost.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Provide guidance coaching and training to other junior level employeesEnsure programs are accomplished on schedule and within budget while complying with process/procedures and program requirementsProvide input into new products processes standards and production plans that have measurable impact on the achievement of overall business resultsCapable of influencing a wide range of audience and having demonstrated leadership skills to win support without direct reporting structureQualifications: Bachelors Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant aircraft design experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related aircrafit design lieu of a degree minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.Familiarity with FAA (Part 23 or 25) or military aircraft airworthiness design approach certification process and requirementsAdvanced knowledge and skills using ECAD toolsProgressive understanding of power systems and various mission systemsMust be able to travel international to support field modificationsBe able to travel to and from the flight line work in aircraft hangar environment and board/exit aircraft is required.Capable of managing and working in an environment that is fast paced demanding with a focus on problem resolution and process improvementA minimum of an active DoD Secret Clearance is requiredPreferred Additional Skills:Ten (10) years of aircraft design related experience in defense aerospace industryOutstanding communication (both verbally and written) negotiation collaboration time management presentation and organizational skillsExperience developing secondary power distribution systems performing wire deration calculations and familiarity with aircraft power systems standards like MIL-STD-704.Results-oriented empowering leader with direct experience exceling in a matrixed environmentExperience in electrical design using Siemens NX or Capital#LI-EN2Required Experience:Senior IC Key Skills Automobile Sales,Bidding,International Development,In House Legal,Commissioning,Accountancy Employment Type : Full Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
