Senior Specialist Mechanical Engineer We are seeking a driven and experienced Mechanical Engineer who will lead process design development and qualification for complex mechanical hardware including precision mechanisms and electro-mechanical systems. This role requires both technical depth and versatility with expectations to independently own major portions of a system while adapting to evolving program needs. You will work in a program-team environment providing technical leadership across requirements definition concept generation material selection trade studies optimization design documentation assembly integration and testing. Hands-on hardware interaction in a lab environment is a key component of this role. Key Responsibilities: Perform high-impact program tasks with limited supervision. Present work to internal and external stakeholders including customer representatives. Generate Technical Data Package components (part drawings assembly drawings etc.). Prototype integrate and test component parts and assemblies. Develop and execute test plans and procedures for mechanical subsystems. Conduct component and system-level testing and evaluations. Participate in design reviews including peer reviews PDRs and CDRs. Support and implement product changes through review meetings and discussions. Collaborate in interdisciplinary design teams. Follow company processes for design configuration management purchasing and documentation. Provide direction to Designers and Technicians on project tasks. Support field testing and demonstrations as the mechanical engineering representative. Perform other related duties as required. Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree with minimum 6 years of relevant experience; OR Graduate degree with minimum 4 years of relevant experience; OR 10 years of related experience in lieu of a degree. Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance. Minimum 2 years of experience developing complex mechanical hardware including precision mechanisms and electro-mechanical systems. Strong understanding and practical application of ASME Y14.5 standards. Skilled in using design tools such as ProEngineer AutoCAD or SolidWorks. Familiarity with FEA tools (ANSYS and NASTRAN preferred). Proficiency in creating technical documentation and reports. Experience using MS Office and PLM software. Comfortable with hands-on hardware work in lab environments. Compensation & Benefits: In accordance with pay transparency guidelines the salary range for this role is $100000 $185500 depending on experience location and qualifications.
