Full-timeDescriptionSalary will be between $58000 to $66000 per year (and based on education and experience)Easterseals Florida is seeking a mission-driven Senior Staff Accountant to join our team and help ensure the financial accuracy and accountability that supports our life-changing programs and services.The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records reconciling accounts managing grants and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. This position works closely with the Director of Accounting and CFO to provide timely reliable financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards.A snapshot of what youll do:Prepare and reconcile weekly cash summaries and monthly bank statementsTrack manage and maintain grant and restricted fund recordsMaintain and update the fixed asset database; perform annual asset inventoryPrepare and enter general ledger transactions per the month-end checklistMaintain various balance sheet accounts reconciliationsAssist with annual budget preparationSupport annual audits and prepare required schedules and reportsProvide variance analysis and financial insights to the Accounting Director and CFOQualifications:Bachelors Degree in accounting business or related fieldProven experience (minimum of 2 years) in financial management and analysis preferably in a non-profit environmentExcellent analytical organizational and communication skillsStrong knowledge of accounting principles financial reporting and budgetingProficiency in financial software and tools (e.g. MIP Excel financial modeling)Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work collaboratively with staff members at various sitesIntegrity flexibility and strong problem-solving abilitiesAbility to meet our approved driver qualifications in order to drive your personal vehicle as required for business-related needs (minimum age of 21 and good driving history)What we offer:Live and on demand Professional Development opportunitiesMedical Dental and Vision PlansPaid Holidays Vacation Sick and Personal TimeEmployee Assistance ProgramSeveral Supplemental Insurance Policies403B Savings PlanEasterseals Cares Wellness ProgramWork Life BalanceThe Opportunity to Make a Difference in the Community and the OrganizationEasterseals Florida has been rated a Great Place to Work () by our employees!
