ResponsibilitiesProvide technical guidance to less experienced engineering project team membersWork closely with other disciplines and on multi-discipline projectsAssist in interaction with clients and stakeholdersPerform quality control reviews of discipline - specific engineering project elements/deliverablesAssist with coordination and planning of schedules, hours, and distribution of work within disciplinePrepare detailed plans and construction documents for the assigned taskPerform engineering calculations pertaining to and in support of the detailed plans and construction documents developedDevelop contract specifications and contract bid documents, and technical report writingOccasional field site visitsRequirements: BS in Civil Engineering required; MS preferredPE License required (preferably in NY)A minimum of six years of Structural Engineering experience with a focus on bridge design preferredExperience in conceptual, preliminary, and final design and plan production of bridge projects following Federal and State codeExperience with load rating of regular and complex bridges (preferred)Experience with bridge codes used in load ratings: AASHTO Manual for Bridge Evaluation, AASHTO LRFD Specifications and AASHTO Standard SpecificationsExperience with AREMA (preferred)Ability to work effectively as part of a design teamExperience in MicroStation and/or AutoCADExperience with Finite Element Analysis software such as CSiBridge, Midas Civil, or Leap Suite of Software (Steel, Concrete) (preferred)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsBenefits: Salary range-$100,000 - $160,000 annually.
