The Senior Supervisor Materials Control Lab is responsible for managing the entire quality engineering process of assigned parts and supervises the Material Control Lab (Materials Testing)Supervise hourly non-exempt employees on assigned shift; mentor and develop hourly non-exempt employeesRespond to technical and process concerns/issues; review process changes or conformity to requirementsCoordinate and perform root cause analysis to solve manufacturing process issuesFacilitate and prepare for external auditsWork with customers regarding quality concernsParticipate in cross functional team projects to improve the overall organization and to develop a career path and leadershipUpdate and track the performance of incoming and outgoing specimensReview of engineering documentation to ensure it contains the necessary quality assurance and customer provisions and criteriaQualifications You Must Have:Bachelors degree and minimum 5 years experience in an engineering manufacturing materials management quality or closely related industrial environment or an Associates degree and 7 or more years experience in an engineering manufacturing materials management quality or closely related industrial environmentIn absence of a degree a high school diploma/GED and 9 or more years experience in an engineering manufacturing materials management quality or closely related industrial environmentUnderstanding of Lean Manufacturing principles experience with Kaizen events or experience with a continuous improvement program (CORE); Value Stream Mapping RCCA 6S - Workplace Organization Continuous Flow Manufacturing Set-up Reduction Total Productive Maintenance and Mistake ProofingProficiency with Microsoft Office productsQualifications We Prefer:Understand and interpret engineering technical data to provide guidance to cross functional teamsExperience with SAP and other IT Quality systemsThorough understanding of audits and audit preparationExperience with dimensional inspection blueprint interpretation and/or GD&T and PyrometryKnowledge of Document Control and Calibration systems. Ability to query data from database systems. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
