Job DescriptionJob DescriptionBecTech is looking for a talented and experienced AEGIS Weapon System Aegis System Equipped Vessel Senior Systems Engineer for a current position in the Missile Defense Agency. Position Description:Provide expertise and support to the lead for Aegis System Equipped Vessel (ASEV) Platform IntegrationAssist in the effort to integrate shipboard (i.e., hull, mechanical, electrical) systems and design with the combat systems suite design and installation schemeProvide integration and validation support of mechanical, electrical, and integrated systemsFocus on design, documentation, data exchange, interface resolutionSupport installation and checkout of combat systemsReview changes and participating in Working Groups as neededProgram management support for program lifecycle cost, program planning, schedule and risk managementInteract with systems integrator, combats systems developers, warfare centers, NAVSEA, Japanese Navy and Japanese ShipyardsUsed advanced tools to address action items, data exchange and knowledge managementPrepare briefings and data for use by Platform Integration team and ASEV Program OfficeSupport fast paced, data intensive environment to include IPTs, international meetings, technical interchange sessions, working groups and program reviews focused on delivering a combat ready BMD shipCONUS and OCONUS travel requiredRequired Skills:US Citizenship with Active Secret ClearanceMaster's Degree in a STEM field12+ years of experienceShipboard experience to include operations, maintenance, Aegis, System test, system installation, shipyard material inspections or certifications.Mastery of MS Office suite and familiarity with collaborative tools such as Jira, Confluence or TeamsDesired Skills:Active TS/SCI ClearancePrior experience with Aegis Weapons SystemsExperience with Missile Systems EngineeringTechnical experience in one of the following areas: Fleet operations, systems engineering, missile systems, Aegis Qualifications, etc.Japanese language fluency or experience with Japanese Navy desired.ADA SPECIFICATIONS:Will be required to use computer screen for extensive periods of time.Work environment office building indoors.Stressful environment must be able to reasonably handle changing and stressful environment.Must be able to interact with clients on a daily basis.All applicants selected will be subject to a background investigation.
