The role has significant autonomy requiring high levels of operational judgment.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for execution of design/turbine operation changes to bend the curve to mitigate failure rates in warranty fleet and leverage where possible into core fleetUtilize technologies like Artificial Intelligence and advanced analytics to reduce time to troubleshoot and replacement part cycle times to enhance the operational fleetIdentify and develop programs to drive down time to return units to servicePartner with Program Management and Product Line to guide optimal design decisions for current products new products and commercial deals to achieve business objectivesLead technical program teams on all system trade-offs and optimizations with a focus on the reduction of Services costsCommunicate and provide recommendations through analysis preparation and presentation of technical material to internal and external audiencesLead major Services investments from pre-conceptual design work through design validation and launch prioritizing and managing risks on safety quality delivery and costContribute to development of the Multigeneration Engineering Plan for Services focused on improving operations through reliability and costEffectively manage program requirements and requirement flow down to optimize product offering and competitivenessWork with Systems Leaders to leverage lessons learned best practices process improvements and standard workSupport and improve the availability and serviceability of existing wind turbine fleetContribute to new and existing design practicesRequired QualificationsBachelors degree from an accredited university or collegeMinimum of 5 years of significant experience in Engineering/TechnologyMinimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience working on wind turbine system-related projectsDesired Characteristics Ability to break-down complex issues determine possible courses of action and enable effective decision making System or product-level mindset Conceptual design and/or system-level trade-off experience Wind turbine experience in design installation operation maintenance or repairs Requirements definition decomposition and/or translation experience Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiencesStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsGE Vernova offers a great work environment professional development challenging careers and competitive compensation. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110% 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
