Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Summary: Our company is seeking a highly skilled Senior System Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Navy combat systems. The ideal candidate will have the ability to generate and adjudicate requirements, design and develop computing infrastructure solutions based on requirements, understand shipbuilding and ship integration processes, understand combat system sensor and weapons interfaces, and manage technical data. Preference is given for having practical experience with Navy C4I systems and/or the Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services (CANES). A degree in engineering or a related field is recommended, but not required.Desired Skills:Understanding of shipboard hardware fieldingSystem and sub-system design and analysisConcept of Operations (CONOPS) DevelopmentSystem Modeling and AnalysisRequirements and technical data package developmentUnderstanding of Agile methodologiesResponsibilities:Work with customers and stakeholders to generate and adjudicate requirements for the Navy's Integrated Combat Systems (ICS)Design and develop computing infrastructure solutions based on requirements, including server architecture, network architecture, and system integrationUnderstand shipbuilding and ship integration processes and work with shipbuilders to ensure proper installation of combat systemsUnderstand combat system sensor and weapons interfaces and work with other engineers to ensure compatibility and proper functionalityManage technical data and maintain accurate records of system design, development, and testing activitiesCollaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure that all design aspects are aligned with project goals and objectivesSupport the development of system test programs to validate system technical requirementsParticipate in product testing and validation activitiesIdentify opportunities for process improvements and cost savingsCommunicate technical information and recommendations to management and stakeholdersRequirements:Minimum of 5 years of experience in Navy combat systemsStrong knowledge of computing infrastructure design and developmentKnowledge of shipbuilding and ship integration processesUnderstanding of combat system sensor and weapons interfacesExperience in configuration management of technical data and maintaining accurate recordsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentKnowledge of product testing and validation proceduresBasic understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviorsEffective verbal and written communication skillsBachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field is recommended, but not required.This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a highly skilled Senior System Engineer to join a dynamic and innovative team.
