Competitive Compensation: Competitive base salary (DOE) + annual performance-based bonus 401(k) with 3% Safe Harbor Employer Match Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Employer-Paid Life Insurance, HSA with employer contribution Generous PTO, Paid Holidays, and Friday Afternoons Off Busy Season is Manageable: 50-hour max during an 8-week busy season, 40-hour standard the rest of the year Hybrid and Remote Work Options Available Clear Path to Advancement: Defined partnership matrix and career growth pathways within the firm Learning and Development Fully Supported: CPE covered, CPA Exam reimbursement, mentorship and coaching built in Collaborative Culture: Approachable leadership, open communication, and a team that actually invests in each other Job Details KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Review complex federal and multi-state tax returns for partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, LLCs, high-net-worth individuals, construction contractors, and real estate entities Lead tax planning and consulting engagements from start to finish Advise clients on long-term contract accounting, percentage of completion and completed contract methods, bonus depreciation, cost segregation, and entity structuring Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to construction business owners and executive teams Research and resolve complex federal and state tax issues Own client relationships and drive year-round planning conversations Mentor, supervise, and develop tax staff, seniors, and managers Review workpapers and returns for technical accuracy, quality, and efficiency Assist with IRS and state tax notices and examinations Contribute to firm growth, client service improvements, and internal process development QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; Master's in Taxation preferred Active CPA license required Minimum 7 years of public accounting tax experience, with strong construction industry focus Demonstrated experience reviewing complex business tax returns and leading client engagements Strong knowledge of pass-through entities, multi-state taxation, and long-term contract accounting methods Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and competing deadlines simultaneously Prior supervisory or management experience in a public accounting environment Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship Interested in hearing more?
