Senior TEMPEST Lead at MELE Associates

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAssist the NGA CTTA in executing the NGA TEMPEST program analyzing requirements implementing programs and processes for controlling or mitigating compromising emanations from NGA equipment and facilities. Interpret security policy and regulations governing TEMPEST as they apply to NGA facilities systems and equipment.Provide advice and assistance to NGA customers to ensure the collection of information required to facilitate the TEMPEST mission to include: building/floor drawings or schematics wiring diagrams equipment specifications shielding power systems signal data and power line routing HVAC ductwork and other utility wiring or piping.Assist NGA customers in the completion of online automated workflow process requests (TEMPEST support requests) TEMPEST checklists Protective Distribution System (PDS) requests and TEMPEST Countermeasure Review requests.Accomplish VTIs and TEMPEST testing of NGA facilities systems and equipment to include SCIFs and PDS as required by the NGA CTTA.Represent the NGA CTTA in meetings or briefs relating to NGA facilities systems and equipment that process classified information and provide the NGA CTTA with details necessary to properly assess the scope as related to TEMPEST.Support TEMPEST daily operations that include:Maintaining and ensuring accuracy of the NGA TEMPEST Automated WorkflowEnsuring completion of all TEMPEST reports checklists PDS requests and TEMPEST Countermeasure Reviews (12) within established timeframes.Supervise annual reporting of TEMPEST technical evaluations (at least 75 items).Ensuring adherence to National DoD and Agency regulations and instructions as they relate toEnsuring TEMPEST technical reviews inspections and assessments are accomplished within established timeframes.Execute TEMPEST Daily Operations that include:Gather all necessary information required for the NGA TEMPEST Automated Workflow Process TEMPEST checklist PDS request and TEMPEST Countermeasure Reviews.Conduct all VTI TEMPEST technical reviews inspections and assessments as required by the NGAMaintain TEMPEST qualifications as required by National DoD and AgencyMaintain TEMPEST test equipment and coordinate repairs and calibrations asCoordinate with other components of NGA and partners to ensure TEMPEST requirements and countermeasures are in adherence.Recommend and provide TEMPEST guidance for Agency security Those duties include:Provide recommendations and guidance for new processes andAssist in determining best practices related to wirelessEnsure wireless technicians understand and comply with National TEMPESTEnsure that TEMPEST reviews are conducted in accordance with National policy and DoDCoordinate TEMPEST Countermeasure Reviews and VTI for NGA facilitiesEvaluate and make recommendations to the NGA CTTA on countermeasures consistent with National policy and operational requirementsPrepare estimates for the NGA CTTA on proper implementation of TEMPEST countermeasures and mitigations in support of the TEMPEST missionMaintain appropriate records to include Technical review inspection and evaluation reports VTI reports TEMPEST checklists and Maintain and update records in the TEMPEST automated Workflow ProcessConduct inspections and perform site assistance visits as required by the NGA CTTA(U) Possess awareness of National policies and DoD polices regarding TEMPEST (e.g. National Security Telecommunications & Information System policy and instruction etc.)Advise development implement and oversee OJT training program to prepare TSSC Technicians for success at government sponsored trainingMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMust possess a current and active DoD TS or DOE Q clearanceAt least 10 years experience in TEMPEST Physical or Technical Security or Facility Inspection related fields with at least 3 years in facility accreditation inspections shielding grounding and Protected Distribution SystemsPossess the National TEMPEST School certifications for completion of TEMPEST Fundamentals and TEMPEST for System Installation and Facility Design Test Equipment Familiarization and Field Testing Basics coursesPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPossess a Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related technical disciplineBe a credentialed graduate of an accredited federal or DoD CI training academy (ex.
