Senior AG Field Technician at Deer Country Farm & Lawn

Job Description Purpose: Independently performs advanced diagnostics service repairs and maintenance work on customers as well as dealer-owned agricultural and/or turf equipment or other work as assigned by supervisor.Responsibilities: Performs advanced diagnostics and repairs on agricultural compact construction equipment and/or consumer and commercial turf equipment as well as Ag Management Solutions (AMS) productsParticipates in Service training programs required for the development of skills and knowledgeMaintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive productsMaintains condition of vehicles inventory tools and equipmentMaintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashionFollows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignmentsCompletes all reports forms and tasks required in conjunction with work assignments including researching and requesting parts neededAccounts for all time and all material used in performing assigned duties according to dealership processes and business systemCommunicates professionally and effectively with manufacturers team members and customers when neededMaintains 90% or above labor performanceWill perform diagnosis and repair in the fieldMay provide delivery services when neededMay conduct or support customer clinicsThis job description is not intended to be all inclusive and employee will also perform other reasonable related business duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or other leadership as required. Qualifications & Skills Education: High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferredExperience: 5 years of professional experience performing service repairsSkills: Ability to perform advanced repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following technical manual procedures proficient oral and written communication skills ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions advanced knowledge of mechanical electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural compact construction equipment and/or turf equipmentProvide tools needed to perform job duties (Specialty tools are owned and provided by dealership)Excellent skills in operating vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedlyValid insurable drivers license requiredMust possess or have ability to obtain valid medical DOT card within two weeks of employmentWorking Conditions: Ability to work extended/flexible hours that may include some scheduled SaturdaysRequired Experience:Senior IC Key Skills Computer Hardware,Customer Service,Hand Tools,Computer Networking,Field Service,POS,Windows,Mechanical Knowledge,Service Technician Experience,Merchandising,Project Coordination,Troubleshooting Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1 Hourly Salary Salary: 28 - 36
