Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOur technicians are eligible for an incentive program with potential earnings up to $800 monthly.Purpose:Independently performs advanced diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer, as well as dealer-owned, turf equipment or other work as assigned by Supervisor.Responsibilities:Performs advanced diagnostics and repairs on consumer and commercial turf equipment as well as Ag Management Solutions (AMS) productsParticipates in service training programs required for the development of skills and knowledgeMaintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive productsMaintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipmentMaintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashionFollows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignmentsCompletes all reports and forms and tasks required in conjunction with work assignments, including researching and requesting parts neededAccounts for all time and all material used in performing assigned duties according to dealership processes and business systemCommunicates professionally and effectively with manufacturers when neededMaintains 90% or above recovery efficiencyMay perform diagnosis and repair in the fieldMay provide delivery services when neededMay conduct or support customer clinicsThis job description is not intended to be all inclusive and employee will also perform other reasonable related business duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or other leadership as required. Company reserves the right to revise or change job duties and responsibilities as the need arises.Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:5+ years of professional experience performing service repairsAbility to perform advanced repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual proceduresAdvanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of turf equipmentExcellent skills in operating vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposesProficient oral and written communication skillsAbility to use Service Advisor and basic computer functionsAbility to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedlyHigh School Diploma or equivalent experience requiredAbility to work extended/flexible hours that may include some scheduled SaturdaysProvide tools needed to perform job duties (“Specialty tools” are owned and provided by dealership)Valid insurable driver’s license required
