Senior Versatile TechnologistCompany:The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is looking for a Senior Versatile Technologist to join the team in Mesa AZ; Seal Beach CA; or Seattle WA.Information Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) is seeking a senior specialist to support the Security Technology Assessments and Risk Compliance (STARC) team as part of Boeing Enterprise Security (BES).The ideal candidate will be able to work within a complex and fast paced environment providing technical security solutions that primarily support physical security operations and services that protect people property products and information. This individual must have strong project management communication and organizational skills to perform in a dynamic environment.This position requires elevated security screenings including credit checks while employed and having access to sensitive information.Position Responsibilities:Identify and analyze computing requirements in collaboration with stakeholdersConsult with teams to determine system needs and specificationsPerform a wide range of technical activities across systems and applicationsInstall configure and maintain hardware software and system components on multiple platformsPlan and prepare software and hardware releases across the systemEnsure systems align with architectural objectives and standardsEvaluate complex systems for production readiness and ongoing supportabilityRestore computing service operations from routine to complex incidentsIntegrate security solutions into information systems to ensure compliance and protectionTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues across hardware software and applicationsDocument system configurations changes and procedures for future referenceCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support system integration and optimizationBasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):5 years of experience in following a software development life cycle (i.e. application development & support)5 years of experience in software application installation and configuration5 years of experience in Operating Systems: Windows Server RedHat Enterprise Linux and Oracle Enterprise Linux5 years of experience performing complex systems engineering or system integration work5 years of experience in working with agile teams and agile software development3 years of experience in a cloud computing environment e.g. Azure/AWS/Google CloudAbility to support after-hours change windows and implementationsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Bachelors Degree in Engineering Computer Science Information Technology or equivalent experienceActive government clearance (e.g. Secret Top Secret)CompTIA Security CertificationMicrosoft Certifications such as Azure Administrator Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certified Solutions Architect or similarExperience with virtualization technologies(e.g. VMware Hyper-V Docker)Experience with Development Operations (DevOps) practicesand tools (e.g. Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines configuration management)Experience with monitoring and performance tuningof systems and applicationsExperience with database management(e.g. SQL NoSQL) and data integrationExperience with analytical and problem-solving skillsfor evaluating system readiness and resolving technical issuesExperience with communication and collaboration skillsfor working with cross-functional teams and stakeholdersDrug Free Workplace:Boeingis a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana cocaine opioids amphetamines PCP and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Pay & Benefits:At Boeing we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract engage and retain the top talent.
