Job Description
AECOM is seeking a motivated and experienced Water/Wastewater Project Manager to join our expanding water engineering practice. The selected candidate will become part of an established water engineering practice working on prominent wet weather remediation programs sewer collection potable water distribution and storage and pumping station projects in the Hampton Roads region as well as central and northern Virginia.Responsibilities include:Candidate will manage plan and lead engineering design projects for sanitary sewer collection systems (including large diameter pipe) pumping stations lift stations force mains interceptors water distribution systems green infrastructure reservoirs as well as water/wastewater treatment plants.Additional responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to those listed below:Manages portfolio of clients with multiple projects.May supervise mid to junior level engineers (all disciplines applicable) as well as project administration project controls scheduling cost control estimating and procurement representatives.Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope.Ensures that all projects are delivered on-time within scope and within budgetDevelops a detailed project plan to monitor and track progressManages changes to the project scope project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniquesMeasures project performance using appropriate tools and techniquesManages the relationship with the client and all stakeholdersPerforms risk management to minimize project risksConsistently delivers profit margins planned.Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staffs specific area of expertise.Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.Prepares technical specification sections. Qualifications : Minimum RequirementsBS Civil Engineering Environmental Engineering or related degree and 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educated. Proven experience with managing engineering design projects for sanitary sewer collection systems (including large diameter pipe) pumping stations lift stations force mains interceptors water distribution systems.Professional Engineers LicenseSolid knowledge of MS Office Suite Sharepoint Unifier e-Builder CM14 and P6 Scheduling SoftwareDemonstrated experience in business developmentPreferred QualificationsProfessional Engineering License in the state of Virginia12 years of related experienceExperience with the Hampton Roads Area Municipal Water/Wastewater clientsWorking knowledge of Federal State and local jurisdiction permitting regulations for water/wastewaterProven track record of delivering technically complex construction projects from inception to completionExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAdditional Information : This position does not offer relocation assistance.This position does not offer sponsorship.About AECOM AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
