Since its founding in 1984 Calpine has led the power industry in its unwavering commitment to environmental addition its renewable geothermal plants use steam generated deep below the earths surface to produce clean renewable electricity.Job ResponsibilitiesDefine and develop new system technologiesWork with with web forms and MVC C# standard web tools (bootstrap jQuery JavaScript) Web Service development SQL Server (stored procedures and database object maintenance) IIS cloud technologiesPerform maintenance and support on existing software systemsGather and interpret system requirementsWrite technical documentationMake independent development architectural and systems decisionsDevelop coding standardsDevelop technical requirementsDevelop and implement solutions for complex system and architectural issuesResolve most complex technical issues conferring with management when necessaryDetermine technical direction for IT projectsCoach and lead team members on projectsReview the work of less experienced developers and serve as a resource to others in issue resolutionExercise independent judgmentOther duties as assigned.Must also demonstrate:Ability to quickly learn and implement new technologies as neededJob RequirementsMinimum 2 years experience developing in a retail electricity environment preferred.Minimum 8 years experience in software development with a degree from a technical/vocational school or equivalent.
