Job Description????️ Job Specification: Service Delivery Manager – Space SystemsJob Title:Service Delivery Manager – Space SystemsLocation: Guildford – with occasional travel to customer and supplier sitesJob Purpose:The Service Manager is responsible for leading post-delivery support and service operations for space systems that are both-in orbit as well as undergoing ground testing. This role needs to ensure high availability and operational continuity for clients engaged in space operations. It requires close customer engagement as well effective reach back into our engineering, operations and programme management.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement a service management process and systemOversee end-to-end customer service support for space systemsManage service contracts, SLAs, and long-term support agreementsDevelop, manage and report on an appropriate set of service performance KPIsLead troubleshooting, anomaly resolution, and failure analysis (including in-orbit and ground-based systems).Coordinate with engineering, operations, and programme management teams to ensure systems are operational and meet performance benchmarks.Serve as the primary customer point of contact for all post-delivery service issues, coordinating internal teams for resolution.Establish mechanism for data (telemetry) trending analysis with stakeholders, and logistics for software upgrades.Maintain compliance with our policies and proceduresPrepare service and performance reports for internal leadership and external stakeholders.Develop and train a service support team to meet the demandDrive continuous improvement and lessons-learned processesQualifications:Education:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceExperience:Proven experience within the Space or aerospace industry, with direct experience in satellite service / operations.Experience within a leadership or service management role.Certifications (Desirable):ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) for service managementKey Skills & Competencies:Understanding of space systems or similar complex equipmentCustomer-facing communication and relationship managementStrong management ethic and cross-functional leadership skillsProblem-solving in mission-critical, high-stakes environmentsFamiliarity with planning tools, and telemetry analysis toolsAbility to interpret technical documentation, anomaly reports, and service logsKPIs – for example equipment uptime and availability, SLA and contract adherence, anomaly resolution time, customer satisfaction scoring, incident recurrence ratesRamon.Space operates with a RPO Talent Partner and does not accept agency resumes without a signed agreement.
