JOB DESCRIPTION
Service Specialist
As a Service Specialist, you will play a critical role in monitoring customer requirements through MRP or similar activities. Your analytical skills will be essential in placing order requirements with the Purchasing team to ensure timely delivery of needed products to our customers. You will determine customer requirements and expectations to recommend specific products and solutions, and initiate blueprint reviews to support these activities. You will also recommend alternate products based on cost, availability, or specifications, and accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes, or returns.
Responsibilities
- Monitor customer requirements through MRP or similar activities.
- Analyze MRP data to place order requirements with Purchasing.
- Determine customer requirements and expectations to recommend specific products and solutions.
- Initiate blueprint reviews to support customer requirements.
- Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability, or specifications.
- Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes, or returns.
- Coordinate with Purchasing to obtain accurate information from vendors relating to shipment dates and expected delivery.
- Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed.
- Process vendor receipts and packing lists.
- Provide accurate information regarding the availability of in-stock items.
- Proactively recommend additional items/product lines to customers to increase satisfaction and improve transaction profitability.
Essential Skills
- 1-3 years of sales/customer service experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and soft skills
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ years in manufacturing
- 2+ years working with fasteners

Pay and Benefits
