Service Technician at KAD Staffing

Perform trouble shooting of mechanical, controls, and instruments at fabrication shop or at customer site locationsWork well with customers and fellow technical service and engineering personnelProvide training to the customer staff on equipment operationProvide training to the customer staff on equipment operationProduce timely, accurate and detailed service reportsComprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations and modifications as requiredSchedule and plan service calls and customer visitsREQUIRED SKILLS:Willingness and ability to learn and develop technical field service aptitudesAbility to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipmentAbility to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedulesWillingness to travel 50%-75% of the time (primarily domestic / USA)Ability to work extended hours and weekendsAble to effectively organize, schedule, and carry out work assignments with minimal supervisionLearn to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, diagramsUnderstanding of the safe operation of hand tools and power equipmentEffective communication skills, verbal as well as writtenAbility to develop skills in problem solving and troubleshootingBasic / developing technical knowledge of process and/or industrial automationMechanical aptitude and ability to perform mechanical and physical tasksEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Any experience in installation, industrial maintenance, and troubleshooting of processing systems is a plusAttained or working toward Associates or technical degree in engineering or related field required.Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical and process systems.Basic understanding of control systems and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), especially Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley systemsBasic understanding of mechanical process equipment such as pumps, valves, meters and other componentsComputer knowledge: Microsoft Office, Excel and Word
