Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of commercial heating and cooling systems, troubleshooting experience, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing complex HVAC systems while ensuring compliance with all industry regulations and safety standards. Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including RTUs, chillers, boilers, cooling towers, and VRF systems.Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues and perform necessary repairs efficiently.Conduct routine preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment to maximize system performance and longevity.Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal HVAC codes and safety standards.Collaborate with building engineers, facility managers, and contractors on HVAC system design and performance.Document all work performed, including service reports and parts used using company ERP system.Respond to emergency (weekends/afterhours) HVAC service requests as needed.Stay up to date with advancements in HVAC technology and industry best practices. Qualifications & RequirementsHVAC certification preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.EPA Universal certification required.Knowledge of electrical and refrigeration systems, including troubleshooting techniques.Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) is a plus.Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces or extreme weather conditions.Strong communication and customer service skills.Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with handheld computer (i.e., Smartphone, iPad).Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.Compensation & BenefitsHealth Insurance: Employer covers employee cost; dependents paid by the employee.Vision and Dental Insurance: Employee-paid.Basic Life Insurance: Employer-provided coverage up to $50,000.Health Reimbursement Account (HRA): Company pays a portion of the medical deductible.401(k) Plan: Eligible after 1 year of service, with a 4% employer match.Ancillary Insurance options: disability, critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident and more.Paid Time Off (PTO): 15 days annually.Holidays: 9 company-paid holidays.Bonus: Eligibility for annual bonus.Learning: Professional development and career growth opportunities.
