Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:Opticool Technologies is seeking a Service Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigerant-based cooling systems in mission-critical data center environments. This role is ideal for individuals looking to build a career in HVAC and data center infrastructure, with hands-on training and growth opportunities.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES · Assist in the installation, startup, and commissioning of refrigerant-based cooling systems (e.g., CRAC/CRAH units, DX systems, split systems).· Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and basic troubleshooting under the supervision of senior technicians.· Support refrigerant recovery, leak detection, and charging procedures in compliance with EPA regulations.· Document service activities, including work orders, maintenance logs, and refrigerant usage.· Follow all safety protocols and company procedures while working on-site at customer facilities.· Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles in clean and working condition.· Participate in on-the-job training and technical development programs.Travel is 50-75% The hourly rate for this position is $24.00-$32.00 and hour however, Opticool Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills. Should you have compensation expectations that exceed this range, we would love to hear from you and would welcome you to reach out to further discuss Requirements:· High school diploma or GED required; technical school or HVAC certification preferred.· 2 plus years of experience in HVAC, refrigeration, or mechanical systems.· Understanding of refrigeration cycles, electrical systems, and mechanical components.· EPA Section 608 Certification (Type I or II) preferred or ability to obtain within 90 days.· Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined or elevated spaces.· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
