Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:Stephenson Equipment, Inc (SEI), an industry leader in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and New York providing sales, rentals, parts and service for construction equipment, cranes, paving, road building and road maintenance equipment, has an immediate need for a Service Technician in our Manassas Park, VA location.Duties include, but are not limited to:Repair and replace damaged or worn partsOperate and inspect machines or heavy equipment in order to diagnose defectsTest mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specificationsDiagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devicesDismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand toolsClean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehiclesComply with all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPEExamine parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gaugesSchedule maintenance for industrial machines and equipment, and keep equipment service recordsRead and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawingsOverhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiencyAssemble gear systems, and align frames and gearsFit bearings to adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipmentWeld or solder broken parts and structural members, using electric or gas welders and soldering toolsClean parts by spraying them with grease solvent or immersing them in tanks of solventAdjust, maintain, and repair or replace subassemblies, such as transmissions and crawler heads, using hand tools, jacks, and cranesAdjust and maintain industrial machinery, using controls and regulating devicesEffectively communicate and actively participate within a goal-orientated team environmentActively participate in problem solving and continuous improvement activitiesMaintain a clean and organized work areaPerform other duties as assignedTotal Compensation Includes:Competitive PayFactory TrainingTool AllowanceFull Benefits Package on day 1401k with MatchingPaid Time OffESOP eligiblityThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature of the position and may not include all of the duties required of the position.
