Federally designated as a senior military college, one of the university's signature leadership programs is its 800-member Corps of Cadets on UNG's Dahlonega Campus.Job Summary The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a federal work study student in the Career Services department on the Dahlonega campus. The Career Services student worker will be the first point of contact for students, employers, faculty members and the community who may phone, visit, or email Career Services. The student worker also will input data, create and post fliers, schedule appointments, and assist at job fairs and other career events.Responsibilities Learn about resources, events, and programs that Career Services offers to assist in marketingWarmly greet visitors and those phoning Career Services Respond promptly to email inquiries; provide prompt, courteous service in answering questions, schedule appointment, checking in students and referring individuals to appropriate resources, departments or staff.Help create promotional materials for events and workshops. Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesAbility to provide excellent customer service.Basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and creativity.Ability to travel across campus and post materials inside and outside buildings.Ability to learn about programs, resources and events offered by Career Services.Required Qualifications Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.Required Documents to Attach ResumeCover LetterFederal Work Study AwardUSG Core Values The University System of Georgia is comprised of our 26 institutions of higher education and learning as well as the System Office.
