Servicing Consumer Response Coordinator at UWM

Job Description

The Servicing Consumer Response Coordinator assists the Consumer Advocate and Compliance team in ensuring compliance with UWMs Consumer Compliant Policy and Procedures. They will play a key role in ensuring that all consumer complaints related to mortgage servicing are promptly thoroughly and accurately addressed in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This individual will manage the intake review investigation and response process for all consumer complaintsworking collaboratively with internal servicing teams subservicers and compliance leadership to ensure timely resolution and continuous improvement of servicing practices.This role requires 100% onsite attendance in our Pontiac office.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOINGIntake log and track consumer complaints related to servicing activities including those received from regulators investors subservicers and directly from consumersReview and investigate each complaint by gathering and analyzing relevant documentation system data and communicationsCoordinate with internal servicing departments (e.g. escrow payment processing loss mitigation) and subservicers to obtain facts resolve issues and ensure accurate responsesDraft clear accurate and compliant written responses to consumers and regulatory agencies within required timeframesIdentify root causes and trends in consumer complaints and escalate recurring issues or potential compliance risks to leadershipMaintain accurate complaint tracking in Excel Airtable and internal systems ensuring proper categorization and documentationAssist the Director of Consumer Affairs and Director of Regulatory Affairs with formal complaint investigations reporting and quality controlSupport compliance with federal and state consumer protection laws including RESPA TILA FDCPA FCRA and CFPB complaint response expectationsContribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing consumer experience and reducing complaint volumesWHAT WE NEED FROM YOUMortgage experience.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive or escalated consumer interactions professionallyStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detailWorking knowledge of mortgage servicing operations (e.g. escrow payment application default management investor reporting)Familiarity with regulatory complaint handling requirements and timelinesAbility to collaborate effectively across multiple departments and external partnersProven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment100% on-site attendance required at Headquarters in Pontiac MIPreferred Qualifications:Prior experience in mortgage servicing compliance quality control or consumer advocacyKnowledge of subservicer operations and communication protocolsTHE PLACE & THE PERKSReady to join thousands of talented team members who are making the dream of home ownership possible for more Americans Its all happening on UWMs campus where our award-winning workplace packs plenty of perks and amenities that keep the atmosphere buzzing with energy and excitement.Its no wonder that out of our six pillars People Are Our Greatest Asset is number one.
