Set Up Operator

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and self-directed individual to join a stable and reputable manufacturing company specializing in engineered mechanical components. Candidates must have experience in machine setup and will be responsible for testing machines onsite.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate lathes, mills, and other machinery.
Read and interpret blueprints and G&M codes for machine setup.
Use calipers and micrometers to ensure precision in machining.
Perform inspections and quality checks on finished components.
Program CNC machines using Mastercam.
Work with Haas, Fanuc, Mazak, and Okuma machinery.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in lathe and mill operations.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Experience with G&M codes and CNC machine programming.
Knowledge of machining and mechanical components.
Skilled in using calipers and micrometers for precision measurement.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with Mastercam programming.
Knowledge of CNC machining processes.
Familiarity with various machinery brands such as Haas, Fanuc, Mazak, and Okuma.

Work Environment

Work in a fast-paced and hands-on environment where your skills are put to the test daily. The facility has been operational for over 70 years, specializing in solutions for severe service lubrication. Expect a gritty setting where getting your hands dirty is part of the job, especially during hot summer days. Be prepared to work roughly an additional 2 hours per day and half days on Saturdays.

This is a Permanent position based out of Ossining, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $62400.00/yr. Metallized Carbon Corporation has been the leader in highly engineered carbon graphite solutions for severe service lubrication.
