By connecting with Pivot Group, you position yourself for roles that match your background and aspirations.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and optimize CMM inspection programs from engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T specifications.Interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications to create accurate measurement routines.Perform CMM calibration and probe qualification to ensure measurement accuracy and reliability.Troubleshoot and debug CMM programs, hardware, and measurement discrepancies.Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI), in-process, and final part inspections using CMM.Generate comprehensive inspection reports, including graphical data and statistical analysis.Collaborate with engineering and and quality teams to analyze measurement results and resolve non-conformance issues.Recommended QualificationsProficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).In-depth understanding and application of GD&T principles (ASME Y14.5).Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and 3D CAD models.Experience with CMM setup, operation, and basic calibration procedures.Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control methodologies.Bonus QualificationsProficiency with advanced CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) for design or fixture development.Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis.Familiarity with other metrology equipment (e.g., vision systems, laser scanners, optical comparators).Ability to design or contribute to the design of CMM inspection fixtures.Job Titles That Should ApplyCMM Programmer, Metrology Technician, CMM Operator, Quality Inspector (CMM), Quality Technician (CMM), Dimensional Inspector, Metrology ProgrammerWhy Pivot GroupThe Pivot Group was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
