Job Description

Job Title: Sheet Metal Worker 2

Reports To: Department Supervisor

Responsibilities:

  • Review work orders and prepare for production by gathering tools and selecting appropriate sheet metal materials.
  • Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and safety procedures.
  • Accurately measure and mark dimensions on metal sheets.
  • Cut, bend, shape, and fasten sheet metal materials using hand tools and machinery.
  • Operate equipment to shear, drill, bolt, rivet, and solder components.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure all specifications are met.
  • Prepare finished components for packaging and shipment.
  • Complete required paperwork for order processing.
  • Provide hands-on job function training to fellow associates as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Use company resources efficiently and responsibly.
  • Support team goals by performing related tasks as assigned.
  • Report any quality or production issues to the Supervisor.
  • Skill Requirements:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow specific written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Team-oriented mindset and collaborative attitude.
  • Ability to read and interpret sheet metal blueprints.
  • Proficiency using a measuring tape and taking accurate measurements.
  • Commitment to following safety procedures and using appropriate safety tools.
  • Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • One (1) year welding experience required.
  • Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, twist, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and crouch for extended periods (up to 8+ hours/day).
  • Ability to consistently lift up to 50 lbs.; assistance required for items over 50 lbs.
  • Ability to use both arms and hands fully for gripping, carrying, pushing, pulling, and other tasks.
  • Ability to work in various warehouse environments, including cold, heat, wind, dust, wet, and noisy conditions.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.

    Pay Range: $20.00- $22.00 per hour (DOE)
