Sheet Metal Assembler in Cottonwood Falls, KS

Perform tasks such as drilling, reaming, riveting, fitting, countersinking, adjusting, finishing, and inspecting aircraft parts to ensure that all specifications are met. This role requires precision and attention to detail to maintain high standards in the assembly of sheet metal components.

Follow process specifications, work orders, blueprints, rework/rejection tags, schedules, schematics, layout & modification sheets, engineering orders, and verbal/written instructions.

Interpret documents and instructions to determine the sequence and methods for assembling and repairing sheet metal products.

Pull parts from inventory and report any shortages to the supervisor.

Work with different gauges and types of sheet metal aluminum according to product specifications.

Clean components and load component parts onto jigs and fixtures.

5 years of aircraft sheet metal assembly experience

Proficiency in riveting, drilling, and using hand tools

Ability to read and interpret blueprints

Knowledge of aerospace industry standards

Experience with interpreting engineering orders and verbal/written instructions

Ability to work with various types of sheet metal

Enjoy working in a 1st shift only environment with lots of overtime opportunities. Candidates qualifying for per diem will benefit from additional compensation. The company provides all necessary tools, making it convenient for employees.

The work schedule consists of 4/10's; Monday through Thursday, 6am to 4:30pm, with additional 10-hour days on Fridays. Up to 20-25 hours of overtime may be offered. Composite or steel-toe shoes are required, and no personal tools are needed as the company provides all necessary equipment.

This is a Contract position based out of Wichita, KS.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Wichita,KS.
