Sheet Metal Technician - CNC Laser & Press Brake at Made Cascade

Why This Role Exists
This role exists to support continued growth in both R&D and production work at Made Cascade. As new products move from concept to prototype to small-batch production, the sheet metal workload continues to expand.
The Sheet Metal Technician plays a critical role in supporting rapid prototyping, iterative design, and repeat production, ensuring projects move quickly from raw material to finished, shippable parts.
The Work You'll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
- Operate CNC laser cutting and CNC press brake equipment for prototyping and production
- Program parts directly at the machine console
- Set up tooling, verify first articles, and maintain repeatable quality
- Run multiple jobs and bounce between machines as schedules require
- Interpret manufacturing drawings and work independently from prints
- Install hardware and fasteners (PEM, standoffs, etc.)
- Perform post-production work including deburring, polishing, cleaning, and packaging
- Conduct in-process and final QC inspections to maintain dimensional accuracy
- Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams to provide design-for-manufacturing feedback
- Assist with other shop projects during downtime
This is a true job-shop environment, not button-pushing production.
Machines, Controls & Software
You'll work with equipment such as:
Machines:
- CNC Laser Cutters
- CNC Press Brakes
- Manual fabrication tools (as needed)
Controls:
- Amada (preferred experience)
Inspection Tools:
- Calipers, micrometers, basic measurement tools
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Trade school training in sheet metal fabrication or equivalent hands-on experience
- Experience operating CNC laser and press brake equipment
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings
- Strong basic math skills and attention to detail
- Experience with general fabrication and shop practices
Preferred (Not Required):
- Experience with Amada press brakes and Laguna laser cutters
- MIG/TIG welding experience
- Advanced fabrication or assembly skills
