Supervise, monitor, and schedule manufacturing operations on assigned shift. Specific duties may vary based on department being supervised (e.g., Repair)Main Activities/Responsibilities:Troubleshooting and repairing production/repair tooling, fixtures, and equipment.Participate and assist with new and existing products and assembly/repair process.Interact with other departments in order to maximize efficiency of assigned tasks.Manage and direct Assembly and Repair functions. (2nd shift supervisor may be responsible for managing and directing Shipping)Daily monitoring of production; advise set-up associate on mod changes, ensure machines are operating at production standards, record job tickets and scrap tickets. Assist set-up associates in solving problems.Inspect quality of products being produced.Train new associates to perform to OMS, RMS, and quality guidelines. Learn and implement Lean Manufacturing methodologies and techniques to improve manufacturing performance and product quality.Enforce safety regulations, union contract, plant security and respond to emergency systems and situations.Attend all training and seminars provided.Continuous skill and knowledge updating.Occasionally working in machine shop.Utilize the computer for engineering and supervision.Competencies:Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with associates at all levelsKnowledge of manufacturing processes Reporting Relationships and Supervision:This position works under the direct supervision of the Manager, Production or Manager, Service.
