To learn more visit our benefits and perks page.Position Overview:The Shipping Associate processes customer orders from around the world ensuring final steps for accurate delivery are complete and all orders are provided to the carriers for same day shipping satisfying our customers needs in a fast-paced environment. This role handles any orders that produce errors or do not auto post. This is an essential onsite role which requires regular onsite attendance.Schedule: Monday - Friday 1:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.Responsibilities:Troubleshoot and handle errors on all orders that do not auto post or that need invoices or additional steps to be completedWell-versed in carrier specific software programs such as: Fed Ex Ship Manager UPS WorldShip DHL EasyShip and show a demonstrated ability to process orders correctlyRead order notes and make the best determination of the next step in processing the orderAct with a high level of courtesy as a liaison between Sales Customer Service Logistics Accounts Receivable and PDC in meeting customer requirementsManually enter dimensions weights and posting of orders that do not fit on the belt system (large and oversized/non-conveyable products) or items that ship out palletized.Complete re-palletization wrapping and/or banding of product when necessaryEnsure truck logs are completed upload necessary shipping documents and collaborate with other departments for possible correctionsPerform carrier support by keeping the shipping cages clear including remove boxes to place on pallets and emptying the shipping cages to avoid belt congestion; move cages to applicable carrierOperate pallet jacks pallet jack scale PIV/forklift stand on pallet jack part mover and pallet wrapping machineRequired Knowledge Skills and ExperienceHighschool diploma or GED requiredRead write and communicate in EnglishBasic computer navigation and typing skillsAbility to actively participate as a team member in order to meet departmental goalsDemonstrated ability to multi-task as well as the ability to change focus quickly based on requests by employees/managementAble to solve problems quickly and efficientlyDependable responsible contributor committed to excellence and successAdapt to changes in software and processes quickly and accuratelyTools/Systems/SoftwareERPManhattanKiSoftSpecific software programs: FedEx Ship Manager UPS WorldShip DHL EasyShipPhysical Requirements:Ability to perform repetitive hand wrist and arm motionCapable of spending 8-10 hours walking/standing on concreteRegularly lift up to 35 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. with assistanceAbility to twist or bend and occasionally climb stairsAbility to reach with hands and arms above shoulder levelPallet ShippingUse of pallet jack up to 60 lbs. with heavier packages requiring team liftUse of PIV equipment (Cushman cart Electric Pallet jack Stand on Pallet jack and Fort lift)Compensation:The starting base pay rate for this position is:$20.00This position may also be eligible for shift skill and/or team lead pay differentials that will be in addition to the starting pay rate.Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
