SHIPPING & RECEIVING ASSOCIATE

Originally established as a quick-print shop in the Portland area, our client quickly became known as a leading local resource for fast-turnaround printing needs of local businesses.

SUMMARY

This is a multifaceted role in all aspects of Shipping/Receiving. The best candidate will have skills in UPS and FedEx software, forklift operation, be willing and able to assist the team in all aspects, with a positive "can-do" attitude. 

PAY: up to $25/hr depending on skills and experience, which are determined by the hiring manager.

SHIFTS: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm Monday - Friday

DUTIES:

• Pick and pack items for outbound
• Using digital systems, including but not limited to, RF scanners, UPS World Ship, and FedEx Shipping Manager.
• Consistently move containers of product up to 50lbs manually.
• Safely use a forklift to load, unload, and move product.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and organization
• Understand the principles of stock location and the arrangement of materials
• Packing and labeling items for shipping
• Unload shipping containers of product inbound.
• Prepare containers to be shipped per customer requirements and work orders.
• Keep daily logs, inventory, and rotate stock.
• Prepare shipping documents.
• Perform receiving procedures.
• Must support and follow all safety policies and requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum one year of recent and consistent work experience in a warehouse environment.
• Minimum 6 months of recent working experience on a forklift.
• Working knowledge and use of UPS World Ship and/or FedEx Shipping Manager software experience
• Proven ability to safely operate a forklift within a warehouse 
• Work experience in an environment that requires attention to detail in a fast-paced environment with accuracy
• Must be able to lift to 50 pounds consistently. 
• Proven record of reliability and a teamwork-focused attitude.
