Job Description SummaryJob DescriptionShipping ClerkJob Description SummaryAs a Shipping and Receiving clerk you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials throughout our facility. Youll be responsible for the handling movement and organization of materials to support production shipping and receiving operations. Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will directly contribute to the success of our manufacturing operations and customer satisfaction.ResponsibilitiesVerify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and pack and prepare items for shipmentCompare identifying information and count items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify against bills of lading invoices order or other recordsPack items in customers containers wooden or cardboard containers. Nail covers on wooden crates bind containers with metal tape using strapping machine. Stamp stencil or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.Unpack and examine incoming shipments record shortages or overages. Route items to departmentsOperate forklift truck or use other material handling equipment to move convey from shipping or receiving platform to storage areaComplete and maintain necessary paperwork such as bills of lading outgoing and incoming lists U.P.S. paperworkAssist in loading and unloading trucksPerform visual inspection of items prior to packing for shipmentReport unusual problems or conditions to supervisorObserve company safety rules and regulationsPerform as assigned other similar or related dutiesRequired QualificationsAbility to work 2nd Shift (2pm-10pm or (1pm-9pm)Minimum 1-year manufacturing environment experience.Basic computer skillsAbility to lift/push/pull at least fifty pounds with or without reasonable accommodationAbility to work overtime including occasional weekend shiftsDesired CharacteristicsExperience in shipping or warehousingAbility to follow written instructions and take verbal instructions for multiple assembly tasks in a manufacturing shop environmentDemonstrates effective communication and follow-up skillsAble to work with computerized shop floor toolsStrong team player and flexible willingness to move to different areasAbility to work alone or as part of a team with minimal supervisionPay Transparency:The base hourly pay range for this position is$22/hr - $27.50/hr plus 10% shift differential.
