We are looking to add a Shipping/Receiving Clerk to our Longview, TX team. The successful candidate will oversee incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition shipping. Responsible for verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing items for shipping. Inspects loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications, studies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping and receiving priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.
The successful candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, related technical trade training, six months or more of machine operating or other job-related experience/training, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience; understand and be comfortable with both the working environment and physical requirements of the role including a non-climate-controlled warehouse, lifting/pushing/pulling objects 25/50+ pounds, and standing on one's feet for a longer period of time; and the ability to do intermediate math skills. Previous manufacturing machine experience with the ability to read basic engineering drawings and previous use of various measuring devices like tape measures and calipers is strongly preferred.
There is an opportunity for hourly wage progression based on acceptable overall job performance and reviews at 90 days, six months, and one year from the date of hire
