Seeking team member to verify keep records of and prepare items for incoming and outgoing shipments. Will operate forklifts to move materials equipment and product in manufacturing warehouse setting.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.See attached job description for full details. Determines method of shipment utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures routes and rates. Compares identifying information and counts weighs or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify against bill of lading invoice order or other records.Assembles and/or repairs wooden or cardboard containers or selects reassembled containers.Inserts items into containers using spacers fillers and protective padding.Fastens covers on wooden crates and binds containers with metal strapping. Stamps stencils or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers. Unpacks and examines incoming shipments.Records appropriate information relating to damage and part count discrepancies. Records shortages and corresponds with appropriate internal department to advise appropriate personnel of damage potential damage part count or other discrepancies.Routes items to departments.Operates forklift truck or hand truck to load/unload move convey or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.Instructs and gives directions to others in preparing outgoing and receiving incoming shipments.Insures that finished goods/raw material warehouse(s) are maintained in an orderly fashion and that space is utilized efficiently. Performs daily cycle counts of FG WIP and raw material to maintain accuracy.
