Staffmark is hiring a Shop Assistant in Abita Springs, LA! This is a great opportunity for someone who's mechanically inclined and eager to learn CNC machine operations and precision manufacturing. Pay: $14.00-$16.00/hour (Based on experience) Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Responsibilities: Operate and monitor CNC machines to ensure proper performance Cut and shape parts to meet specifications Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and instructions Maintain machinery and keep the work area clean and organized Assist with general shop duties as needed Qualifications: 2-3 years of experience in a mechanical, manufacturing, or related environment preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Basic understanding of technical drawings and measurements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Eagerness to learn and grow within a hands-on production environment Why You'll Love This Job:We offer a comprehensive benefits package to support your health, financial goals, and work-life balance.
