Are you a mechanic who is read to take on some additional responsibility as a working Shop Foreman The ideal applicant should be a self starter with 2 years experience in diesel small engine and hydraulic experience on construction equipment. However we are willing to train the right candidate. Paid technician training could be in-house or at service schools for major brands of equipment that we carry. Diesel Service Technician Responsibilities: Perform with minimum supervision equipment repairs in a timely manner. Work with mechanics and service manager to schedule work Supervise and train mechanics Insure all safety procedures are followed and that fellow employees do the same. Trouble shoot problems on all equipment using test equipment tools service manuals and service bulletins. Utilize all departmental reference materials service and parts manuals as needed to complete the job. Continually study and upgrade proficiency in construction equipment trouble shooting and repair. Keep your paperwork up-to-date at all times personal and company (CDL - Physical Card - Log Books - Time Sheets). Think your job through and do it the best and most efficient way possible. Learn to operate construction equipment for diagnostics and repair. Own enough hand tools to facilitate completion of job tasks. PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS Construction equipment mechanical experience preferred Foreman/ Supervisor experience Demonstrate high degree of proficiency in construction equipment repair. Ability to read and use reference materials both on paper and on computer. Ability to lift 100 lbs. We are open 7a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday Ability to work as part of a team.
