We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator / Welder to join our team. This position involves fabricating and assembling ductwork, fittings, and HVAC components for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. If you have experience with MIG and TIG welding, enjoy working with your hands, and take pride in producing high-quality work, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate ductwork, air distribution accessories, and HVAC-related equipment.
- Read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints to locate, measure, and lay out installation areas.
- Fabricate complex ductwork and fittings according to project specifications.
- Drill holes and install brackets, hangers, and support systems.
- Assist with loading, unloading, moving, and distributing materials and parts.
- Set and install equipment such as coils, fans, and humidifiers.
- Operate fabrication equipment, including:
- Shears
- Press brakes
- Sheet rollers
- Hem saws
- Plasma cutters
- Grinders
- Perform material take-offs and prepare cut lists.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Work overtime, evenings, and weekends as needed to meet project demands.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of metal fabrication experience.
- Proficient in GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) welding.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience working with stainless steel, carbon steel, galvanized steel, and aluminum.
- Ability to use hand tools, forklifts, man lifts, platform lifts, rigging, and erecting equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Successful completion of a MIG and TIG weld test during the interview process.
