Job Title:Shop Yard Maintenance / Parts RunnerLocation: Hampton VAReports to:Shop ForemanMajor Role and Purpose:Perform general cleaning of the shop facility and the shop yard. Deliver parts needed for the shop and assigned job locations.Description of Duties:Perform general cleaning of the shop facility and the shop yard.Empty shop trash cans and bins.Use of a water truck to water down the shop yard for dust control.Run a sweeper on the road for dust control.Deliver parts needed for the shop and assigned job locations.Perform all job duties in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.Gain an understanding of basic parts processes and proper maintenance procedures as instructed by knowledgeable shop staff.Aid senior level mechanics and shop staff on larger projects.Participate in training and other learning opportunities.Perform all other job duties deemed necessary.Education:High School DiplomaPreferred.Work Experience: Previous shop experienceand parts delivery experience preferred.Skills Required:Effective communication and organization skills.Must have a valid Drivers License in good standing.Physical Demands:Job requires the following motions: stretching bending lifting pushing pulling twisting throwing walking standing reaching and squatting.Walking or standing may occupy the entire day.Able to lift up to 50 lbs.Potential exposure to extremes of hot or cold weather.Overtime work may be required.Equal Opportunity EmployerEOE/M/F/Disability/VetAbout Branscome:OUR COMPANYFor more than 60 years in Virginia our crews have been safely delivering the infrastructure that our communities are built on.
