Home to more than 2,600 employees, our highly skilled, professional, and diverse faculty and staff are leading two of California’s premier colleges, Cypress Community College and Fullerton Community College, as well as one of the largest continuing education programs, North Orange Continuing Education.What We Offer::Click Here For Current Non-Classified Short-Term Hourly Salary SchedulesJob Description:JOB DESCRIPTIONGuide new and continuing students to campus resourcesAssist with front desk intake in the Language Arts Division, including answering general questions, responding to emails, scheduling appointments, and addressing student inquiriesHelp maintain, revise, and organize program handouts and outreach materialsPrepare and sort documents for data entryEnter large volumes of data with accuracyReceive and log supply orders; enter order details into appropriate databaseIdentify and resolve discrepancies in information; obtain missing documentation as needed; update and maintain accurate recordsRespond to requests for information and provide support to faculty, staff, administrators, and studentsPractice discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive informationOrganize and stock office materials; manage digital and physical files; scan, print, and archive records as neededUpdate department brochures and materialsMeet established deadlines and manage time effectivelySupport Language Arts programs and activities such as the Peer Tutor Program, Honors Program, Language Center, Speech and Debate, Visiting Writer Series, Sole Image Literary Arts Journal, Summer Bridge, Learning Communities, International Cultural Festival, etc.Assist with logistics, setup, promotional materials, tabling, and data collection for eventsPerform other related duties as assignedThis position will be for the 2025-2026 Academic year.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESAbility to maintain professionalism while managing multiple prioritiesKnowledge and basic understanding of databasesStrong attention to detail and a high level of accuracyExperience using word processing tools and spreadsheets (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.)Experience providing excellent customer service to a diverse populationExperience with data collection, data entry, and maintenance of recordsAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and in writingMinimum Qualifications:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSDemonstrated clerical/date entry experience.Commitment to diversity.
