The Sign Shop Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting a small team in the creation and production of various types of signs, including vinyl, digital prints, metal, mixed materials, screen printing, and car wraps. This position focuses on material handling, assembly, and quality inspection while ensuring the workspace and orders are managed efficiently. The role involves minimal customer interaction and operates within a single-shift schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Handle materials and maintain inventory levels for sign production
  • Assemble signs using various materials and fabrication techniques
  • Operate sign-making equipment safely and effectively
  • Inspect signs for quality and adherence to specifications
  • Prepare orders for packaging and shipment
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe workspace
  • Package finished signs securely for shipping
  • Coordinate shipping logistics with relevant departments

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in retail or manufacturing environments
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with signage fabrication and use of cutting tools
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Physical stamina to handle materials and equipment
  • Effective time management skills
