Job Description
Job Title: Silicon Validation Engineer Job Location: Raleigh NC Job Type: Contract Job Description: You will be responsible for all or parts of the following areas: Bring up validate and characterize high-speed D2D and SERDES in new and existing silicon chips. Bench software and hardware integration bench setup Develop test methods to evaluate performance and calculate operating margins of high-speed serial interfaces across various conditions. Collaborate with design teams to improve testability and define test infrastructure logic. Write software routines (e.g. Python C/C) to bring up and validate D2D and SERDES IPs and integrate drivers with software teams. Analyze test results and document findings to provide insights and recommendations. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in electrical engineering Computer Engineering or a related field. 7 years of experience working with D2D and SERDES platforms. Knowledge of high-speed D2D and SERDES architectures (e.g. NRZ PAM4) and protocols. Experience with test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes spectrum analyzers and BERTs. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills: Experience with SERDES calibration and understanding of signal integrity. Familiarity with high-speed protocols like UCIe Ethernet and PCIe. Ability to write comprehensive test reports and analyze boundary conditions.
