Our mission-driven team works every day to support strong, healthy communities through high-quality housing, responsive service, and meaningful resident engagement.We are seeking a dedicated, community-focused manager to join our team at Orchard Meadows, one of our newest and most vibrant apartment communities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and taking ownership of property operations in a meaningful and hands-on way. The ideal candidate is organized, personable, and able to balance resident needs with program requirements and HAJC policies. Housing Requirement This is a live-on-site position. The selected candidate will reside in the provided 2-bedroom apartment as part of the role to ensure responsive support and a strong community presence. Key Responsibilities Build positive, professional relationships with residents and promote a welcoming environment.Respond to resident inquiries, concerns, and issues in a timely and supportive manner.Conduct unit inspections and coordinate maintenance requests and work orders.Assist with the move-in and move-out process, including unit turnover readiness.Ensure compliance with HAJC policies, HUD guidelines, and program requirements.Maintain accurate property documentation, logs, and reports.Collaborate regularly with the Portfolio Manager, Maintenance, and Compliance teams.Support ongoing community standards and ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained property. Preferred Qualifications Experience in property management, affordable housing, customer service, or related fieldsStrong communication and conflict-resolution skillsAbility to maintain professional boundaries while living on siteOrganized and able to manage multiple responsibilities independentlyComfortable performing physical tasks such as walking property grounds, lifting light items, and conducting inspectionsValid Oregon driver's license (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)Minimum Requirement:High school diploma or equivalent preferred An Important Note Studies show that women and people of color are less likely to apply for jobs unless they meet every listed qualification.
