OverviewAs a Site Reliability Engineer you will work with our growing DevSecOps practice delivering features to support cloud and application development. We are looking for candidates with 5-7 years experience with cloud platform services and DevSecOps practices such as build/release management CI/CD practices and process automation.ContributionsResponsibilities include:Gather and analyze metrics from operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault identificationPartner with development teams to improve service through rigorous testing and release proceduresParticipate in system design platform management and capacity planningCreate sustainable systems and services through automationEstablishing development tools and infrastructure for automationUnderstanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developersAutomate and improve development testing deployment and release processesTesting and examining code written by others and analyzing resultsEnsuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threatsIdentifying technical problems performing root cause analysis and developing software updates and fixesWorking with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intendedSupport enterprise Cloud applications or infrastructure through infrastructure as code including any activities around automated server or network configurations large-scale software deployments and monitoring and testing such as CI/CDDocument as-is state of the environment perform a gap analysis and produce artifacts that articulate options and recommendationsLeverage virtualization and containerization to optimize and modernize software systemsAct as an individual contributor and mentor more junior team membersEngineer and implement solutions and provide recommendations for continuous improvement for the services providedPresent regular status updates and provide cross training to other DevOps team members.QualificationsRequired:Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security ClearanceBS Degree in an IT field OR BS in a non-IT field and 2 years related IT experience5 Years of Experience with one or more clouds (i.e. AWS Azure or GCP) and distributed storage technologies5 Years of Experience with Git SCM providers such as GitHub GitLab Bitbucket5 Years of Experience with one or more programming or scripting languages5 Years of application DevSecOps Experience with actual/active development experience in an Agile environment3 Years of Experience implementing docker containers and utilizing platforms such as Kubernetes5 Years of Experience implementing infrastructure as code and orchestration5 Years of Experience building CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins GitLab CI/CD GitHub Pipelines CircleCI TravisCI5 Years of Experience integrating deployments with industry standard DevSecOps tooling and orchestrationExperience integrating test automation including performance security and functional tests into CI/CD PipelinesPreferred:Certifications:AWS Certified DevOps EngineerAWS Certified Solution Architect ProfessionalMicrosoft Certified DevOps Engineer ExpertMicrosoft Certified Azure Developer AssociateCertified Kubernetes AdministratorSAFe DevOps CertificationExperience implementing Automated Testing frameworks including SeleniumExcellent written and verbal communication skills interpersonal and collaborative skillsExperience with documenting an as-is state of the environment perform a gap analysis and produce artifacts that articulate options and recommendationsExperience with scripting in Concourse Bash PowerShell Python Groovy or RubyExperience with automation tools including Pivotal Chef Terraform CloudFormation or AnsibleAbout steampunkSteampunk relies on several factors to determine salary including but not limited to geographic location contractual requirements education knowledge skills competencies and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $150000 to $185000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
