Site Survey Engineer at Brightspeed

The Site Survey Engineer is responsible for conducting detailed site assessments to support engineering and construction projects. This role involves collecting and analyzing data related to topography infrastructure building structure and utilities to ensure accurate planning and execution of projects. The engineer will collaborate with project managers design teams building owners or representatives and field personnel to deliver precise and actionable survey results. Key Responsibilities: Perform on-site surveys using GPS pictures videos and other applicable equipment and applicationsInitiating and managing negotiations with building or private property stakeholders to secure entrance rights Collect and analyze data to support design and construction planning to include inbuilding details and facility entrancePrepare detailed survey reports maps and drawings using CAD and or GIS softwareCoordinate with engineering and construction teams to ensure survey data aligns with project requirementsIdentify potential site constraints and provide recommendations for mitigationEnsure compliance with local state and federal regulations related to land use and construction as well as NESC compliance on pole attachmentsMaintain accurate records of survey data and project documentationAssist in the development of site layouts and utility plansQualifications : WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:2 years of experience in site surveying or a similar role 2 years of experience with customer-facing/sales background Proficiency in software (Microsoft Suite AutoCAD Civil 3D GIS) Familiarity with fiber to the prem construction Strong understanding of construction processes and site development Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Strong communication and reporting skills Valid drivers license and reliable transportation Must be willing to travel to project sites Additional Information : BONUS POINTS FOR:Related Engineering degree Familiarity with infrastructure design and implementation practices #LI-MH1WHY JOIN USWe aspire to contemporary ways of working.Recognized as a Top Workplace by the Charlotte Observer Brightspeed HQ is located on the 7th floor of the new Vantage South End - East Tower in Charlotte NC. We prioritize hiring talent in the Charlotte area whenever possible to make it a truly vibrant destination for our hybrid workforce.
