Site Survey Engineer at Brightspeed

Brightspeed is looking for a Site Survey Engineer to join our growing team! The Site Survey Engineer is responsible for conducting detailed site assessments to support engineering and construction projects. This role involves collecting and analyzing data related to topography infrastructure building structure and utilities to ensure accurate planning and execution of projects. The engineer will collaborate with project managers design teams building owners or representatives and field personnel to deliver precise and actionable survey results.As Site Survey Engineer your duties and responsibilities will include:Performing on-site surveys using GPS pictures videos and other applicable equipment and applicationsInitiating and managing negotiations with building or private property stakeholders to secure entrance rightsCollecting and analyzing data to support design and construction planning to include inbuilding details and facility entrancePreparing detailed survey reports maps and drawings using CAD and or GIS softwareCoordinating with engineering and construction teams to ensure survey data aligns with project requirementsIdentifying potential site constraints and provide recommendations for mitigationEnsuring compliance with local state and federal regulations related to land use and construction as well as NESC compliance on pole attachmentsMaintaining accurate records of survey data and project documentationAssisting in the development of site layouts and utility plansQualifications : WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:2 years of experience in site surveying or a similar role2 years of experience with customer-facing/sales backgroundProficiency in software (Microsoft Suite AutoCAD Civil 3D GIS)Familiarity with fiber to the prem constructionStrong understanding of construction processes and site developmentExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentStrong communication and reporting skillsValid drivers license and reliable transportationMust be willing to travel to project sitesBONUS POINTS FOR:Related Engineering degreeFamiliarity with infrastructure design and implementation practices#LI-GF1Additional Information : WHY JOIN USWe aspire to contemporary ways of working.Recognized as a Top Workplace by the Charlotte Observer Brightspeed HQ is located on the 7th floor of the new Vantage South End - East Tower in Charlotte NC. We prioritize hiring talent in the Charlotte area whenever possible to make it a truly vibrant destination for our hybrid workforce.
