Fabrication Site Utility I-1st Shift Support

You will be based at our Kinston, NC location. The shift will start at 6:00 am and end at 2 pm. This role supports the production line and will follow production needs. Please be advised that we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position at this time.
Summary
Under general supervision of the People Leader for the department area, the Utility Worker will coordinate and monitor daily operations of specific assigned assembly processes and needs of production with accountability for the assignments during their work shift. Perform a variety of skilled assembly functions, repair operations, backup Team Leadership and other progressive skills during the training of this role to support the Factory to meet or exceed established standards for Safety, People, Quality and Cost.
Your Main Tasks
- Provide support throughout the Fabrication & Plastic department area zones ensuring production meets or exceeds Electrolux standards in safety, cost, quality, and delivery (SCQD)
- Assists team leaders in training of new team members, change overs and follow-up of quality related issues.
- Responsible for applying all requirements related to EMS, ISO9001/14001/50001/Green Spirit according to the position
- Maintain a proactive approach with problem solving to prevent accidents and quality issues.
- Follow and improve workstation job detail standards for assigned area.
- Maintain an organized and efficient work environment utilizing the Electrolux Manufacturing Systems EMS Principles.
Qualifications
Communicate clearly and concisely in English verbally and in writing. Able to read and write English. High school graduate, GED, or equivalent experience or training preferred with 2+ years of manufacturing experience in a Factory setting. Forklift experience preferred but not required. Will have onsite training.
Physical Demands
Must be able to lift packages 35 lbs. or less on a consistent basis Should be able to team lift any package greater than 35 lbs. but less than 71 lbs. Should be able to handle repetitive twisting, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, and bending Must be able to spend long periods of time on your feet Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disability to perform the essentials functions of the job.
