Job DescriptionJob DescriptionClass A or B CDL Required - RSG Landscaping is looking for an experienced Sitework/Grading equipment operator and laborer for our grading division located in Lynchburg, VA. This is a dual position requiring manual labor tasks to be performed with opportunity to operate various pieces of equipment on site to complete construction tasks. This position works alongside crew members to successfully complete grading, sitework, and utility installation projects. Work is performed in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to outdoor elements.Pay scale is dependent upon experience level and licenses/certifications. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Prep construction sites- Remove, fill, or compact earth- Follow instructions from Supervisors and Foreman- Service equipment- Install sewer, water, and storm pipes- Dig trenches- Rake and grade stone- Shovel dirt- Assist crew members in cleaning outdoor jobsites of trash and debris- Properly follows RSG Landscaping LLC, and OSHA safety procedures- Other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS- Valid Virginia Driver’s License- Class A or B CDL required - GED/High School Diploma preferred- 1 or more years of proven experience as a Sitework/Utilities laborer- Completion of an OSHA 10-Hour Construction Course or ability to complete course within first 90 days of employment- Spanish & English-speaking proficiency a plusWORK ENVIRONMENT & CONDITIONS· This position requires a flexible work schedule: nights, weekends, holidays, and/or overtime· Must be able to climb, maintain body equilibrium, reach, grasp, bend and walk/stand/sit for extended periods of time· Must be able to hear and see naturally or with correction· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds· Be subject to loud noises· Be subject to atmospheric conditions - one or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin: fumes, odor, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation· This position requires working in the internal and external environment· Ability to work independently and as a team· Ability to work under pressure with time constraints in a changing environment· Ability to effectively communicate
