Position Title: Sleep Technologist Location: Ithaca NY Job Type: Contract Shift: Night Shift Duration: 13 Weeks Payrate: $40 - $45 hourlyJob Summary:Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Sleep Technologistfor an exciting job in Ithaca NY.Responsibilities:Prepare and calibrate sleep study equipment prior to testing.Perform overnight polysomnography (PSG) CPAP/BiPAP titration and other sleep procedures following established protocols.Monitor and document patient activity physiological parameters and events during studies.Recognize and respond to respiratory events cardiac irregularities seizure activity or other clinical concerns.Educate patients on sleep studies PAP therapy and equipment use.Score sleep studies per AASM standards as required.Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).Ensure patient safety comfort and confidentiality throughout the testing process.Troubleshoot equipment issues and maintain proper function of monitoring systems.Collaborate with physicians respiratory therapists and sleep center staff to deliver high-quality care.Qualifications:Active RPSGT or RRT-SDS credential preferred; RPSGT-eligible or equivalent sleep tech experience may be considered.Current BLS Certification (AHA).Minimum 1 year of recent sleep lab or overnight clinical experience preferred.Proficiency in polysomnographic recording monitoring and scoring practices.Strong communication skills and patient-care focus; ability to work independently overnight.Familiarity with sleep lab equipment EMR systems and AASM guidelines.For more details contact at or Call / Text at .About Navitas Healthcare LLC certified WBENC and one of the fastest-growing healthcare staffing firms in the US providing Medical Clinical and Non-Clinical services to numerous hospitals.
