JOB DESCRIPTION

Slitter Helper - 1st Shift

Responsibilities:

  • Set up spacers for overarm.
  • Check slit strands - free of burrs, scratches, coil set, and within camber specifications.
  • Math aptitude/setup calculations testing
  • Learn to use the ERP system.
  • Cut Cores
  • Stage and load materials
  • General housekeeping
  • Assist supervisor/manager and other operators as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly work environment by removing scrap and other waste, checking machines, and identifying potential hazards.
  • Train new operators, if necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Ability to read and interpret production sheets
  • Physical ability to stand for long hours and lift heavy materials
  • Basic understanding of machine maintenance and troubleshooting
  • A team player with good communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
  • Ability to read measuring tape
