ResponsibilitiesPeraton is hiring a Smart Data Systems Engineer to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Jessup MD. As a Systems Engineer on our team you will support one of the largest enterprise-wide engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; and work is performed at a customer location. As a Smart Data Systems Engineer on our team you will provide systems engineering expertise for Smart Data to identify document and investigate all data integrity and quality control facets of Smart Data tags in the Cloud. A candidate for this position must be interested in investigating metadata security markings and data flow anomalies. It requires a thorough understanding of customer data flows and a passion for investigating root causes of anomalies. Duties include:Execute creative strategies to discover data quality problemsNavigate across organizations to bring people and ideas together to develop creative solutions for data integrityTroubleshoot and investigate processes and threads for data integrity (root cause analysis)Ensure compliance with relevant policy (I.e. purge concerns and requirements)Knowledge of Enterprise Data Headers to facilitate data governance and improve data qualityMaintain a focus on data management processes for accuracy completeness and correctness.Schedule and facilitate meetings scribe meeting minutes track outcomes and actions) #AJCMQualificationsIndividual Capabilities/Experience Required:Bachelors degree or advanced degree in computer science information systems engineering or other related discipline plus at least 20 years of systems engineering experience. A Masters degree or PhD may be substituted for two years of experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 24 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable.Experience with Data Flow processes.Experience in analytic and critical thinkingPassion for solving problems developing creative solutions and root cause analysis.Knowledge of SIGINT and SIGINT AuthoritiesPosition requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraphIndividual Capabilities/Experience Desired:Self DirectingExcellent organizational skills communication skills and interpersonal skillsMust work well on a team. Salary is determined by various factors including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position the individuals experience education knowledge skills and competencies as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
